Self-Taught Software Developers
About Us
This group is for anyone interested in Software Development but has little experience in the field. However, developers of all backgrounds are welcome. This community is where individuals new to software development can come together every two weeks to debrief and discuss various topics. In addition, individuals can share resources, ask questions, and provide (or request) assistance with technical and non-technical questions. We also offer guest speakers and networking opportunities. Please refer to our calendar to see what we have coming up.
We have found in our own experience that other programming groups can be valuable but tend to have more senior-level developers. Those environments can lead to frustration due to the knowledge gap between experienced and newer developers. If you are new to Software Development, consider joining this group for the support of a community of like-minded developers. We highly recommend you also join (and attend) other Meetup groups with more seasoned developers for any advanced questions you may have.
You will find it beneficial to join if you are interested in the following areas:
- Web Development
- Mobile Development
- Front-End Development
- Back-End Development
- UI & UX Design
